An elegant pair of patinated bronze, French ormolu, two-branch candelabras, each set on a base of bleu turquin. Each with a putti holding a cornicopia in each hand. Early 19th century. 17 ” high, 9″ wide, 5-3/4″ deep at base.
The elegant pair of French candelabras are crafted from ormolu, which is a type of gilded bronze, and feature a patinated bronze finish. Each candelabra has two branches for holding candles, and is adorned with a putti (a cherubic child) holding a cornucopia in each hand. The cornucopia is a symbol of abundance and prosperity. These candelabras date back to the early 19th century, making them around 200 years old.
